The founders of Lumiflag are four families in which the four dads have been close friends since junior high school. Matthew, the original founder, has a son on the autism spectrum who graduated high school in 2020. As a father, Matthew had concerns about the future employment and financial well-being of his child.

To secure an income for his son, Matthew designed and patented an high-performance, interchangeable, illuminated, and customizable flag for vehicles. Then in 2023, the four families formally launched the company and are now establishing more partnerships in business development.

The product is assembled by young adults living on the autism disability spectrum in partnership with post-ed job training centers, called Adult Transition Centers. LumiFlags are high-quality items, built for the task of high-speed driving, and stand out in much improved fashion.

Lumiflag's mission is to employ young adults living with autism whom have completed their formal high school education. This is where our experience lies, and where we can make a difference for someone living on the disability spectrum by providing them with early, paid work experience. This employment serves an important need in the individual's transition to the community workforce.

Our vision is to become a large employer of people on the spectrum, and secure the financial well-being of our employees through a good wage and benefits, as well as savings programs so that our employees will be able to live independently and contribute to a matched retirement fund.
